Hi there, I’m Courtney Mickles. It’s great to have you here!
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I am passionate about working with couples who are having communication challenges and with individuals who are working through trauma. My goal is to join along side you during your time of need as well as your time of comfort so that you don't have to work on these issues alone. I hope to teach healthy communication skills, healthy boundaries to have in realtionships, problem solving skills, and to release you from burdens your past traumas have caused you.
My approach to therapy includes Integrative, Collaborative, and Experiential Therapy. This means that I tailor therapy to your direct needs and goals. This is done by us truly getting to know each other and creating a deep understanding for the struggles that you are going through. I hope to create a warm and inviting environment for you so that you feel comfortable openning up. I hope to remain reliable so that you have a mental health specialist who will be there for you on a consistent basis. I hope to have open communication with you so that you are well informed about your mental health treatment. As our treatment progresses I hope to keep these promises to you.
I am open to seeing people who are ready to work on themselves and no longer want their issues to control parts of their life including individual needs, couples needs, and family needs. As a reliable therapist who has a passion for helping others, I want to work with you to help you live your most authentic life by providing you with the tools to succeed and to cope with past and present struggles.
I’d love to hear from you if you want to start therapy or to address any questions you may have when it comes to starting therapy with me. If you aren’t officially ready to sign up yet, don’t worry. I also offer a free 15-minute virtual consultation where we can spend some time getting to know each other and I can tell you more about my approach to therapy.
It is challenging to open up and to work on wounds that have harmed you for so long. Therapy is also a formidable step to take, but it will help you live the life you deserve. I want you to know that you don't have to do this alone. Therapy can start whenever you are ready, and I'll be here to help.
