Hi — I'm Courtney.

I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I am EMDR and Brainspotting Certified and I practice in Roseville and online across California.

When you reach out to a therapist, you're often carrying something heavy — a wound, a pattern, a relationship that feels stuck, a version of yourself you don't quite recognize anymore. My hope is that the moment you sit down with me, you'll feel one thing first: met.

I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating trauma, relationship struggles, communication issues, life transitions, and family conflict. The work we do together is real, and at times it's hard but it's never something you have to do alone.

My approach

My work is integrative, collaborative, and experiential. Integrative because no single model fits every person — I draw from EMDR, Brainspotting, attachment theory, somatic awareness, and relational therapy, and I tailor what we do to who you are. Collaborative because you are the expert on your own life; I'm here to walk alongside you, not to hand you a script. Experiential because real change happens in the feeling of something, not just in talking about it.

EMDR & Brainspotting

I'm certified in both EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Brainspotting. These are powerful approaches for processing trauma including the kinds of trauma that don't always look like "trauma" on the surface. If traditional talk therapy has felt like it only goes so far, this work may be what's been missing.

Education & ongoing training

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Colorado State University and a Master of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling from Brandman University. I'm certified in EMDR through training with Kim Johnson, and in Brainspotting through instruction from Lisa Larson and Lance Ferris. I take continuing my education seriously — staying current with the research and the craft is part of how I show up for the people who trust me with their stories.

Why I do this work

I became a therapist because I deeply believe in people. I've watched clients move from surviving to actually living, and there is no work I'd rather do. Our wounds, as David Richo wrote, are often the opening into the best and most beautiful parts of us. I would be honored to walk that path with you.
